Here are some of the latest updates on Donald Trump’s court cases: Donald Trump’s ‘hush money’ trial has begun in New York . The prosecution said hush money payments made at Mr.  Trump’s direction to an adult film star amounted to election interference .  The defense told the court the former president was “cloaked in innocence”, and cast doubt on the credibility of the prosecution’s witnesses . The trial is set for  15 April .  This will be the first-ever criminal trial of a former or current US president .  It is in connection with so-called hush money paid to adult film actress Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election .  Trump has pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of fraud related to an alleged cover-up of that payment in his accounts . In another case, Trump is making a Supreme Court bid for immunity .
